Hello, Cat! Welcome to the seven figure flipped interview.

Thanks for having me.

Laetitia Andrac 

I'm excited for our conversation. So the first questions I love to ask everyone who is part of this campaign is : what is your definition of success Cat?

Cathleen Daenzer   

Okay. So success means to me to absolutely love what I'm doing. And be super happy and content within myself and having a healthy work life balance, which means to have the freedom to go to the gym, go to my daughter's daycare and school events to drop them off and pick them up from school to have a lovely afternoon with them. And spend time quality time with them. You know, doing evening routines and everything without being stressed and not answering any clients anymore, or team members. And also it means to me to go on a holiday whenever I want and not asking for permission and yet to be fully flexible. And also not feeling stressed, overwhelmed and anxious. Because then I'm not the best version of myself. And when I'm stressed I'm just not the best mother, not the best partner and I don't actually like myself at all. Yeah, it's just not worth it. And success also means to have a great and 100% reliable team. And whoever is not, I'll just get rid of because it's absolutely not worth having someone on board which is causing causing me stress and also having a purpose and a positive impact on the environment. So I do waste free parties. It's super fun. And we are planting five trees with each party. So we're doing we give something back you know and also success means to me to be financially independent because when things go pear shaped, I want to have enough money to have like a buffer to live by myself support my kids and my family. Because you never know right? I don't want to ever be financially dependent on anyone ever again. You know it was a bit of a tough time having two kids and being a mom and yeah, anyways to have no Yep, no money coming in. You know, that wasn't really super amazing. So yeah, I want to have enough money to buy the things that we need and I like and I actually don't need many things. To me being with my family makes me the happiest and that's number one priority for me at the moment.

Laetitia Andrac 

I love it. Thank you so much for sharing that Cat. I know you will inspire so many women out there. So what does seven figure flipped mean to you?

Cathleen Daenzer 

Okay, so seven figures in general means absolutely nothing to me. Because what does it even mean? You know, what does seven making seven figures even mean? You know, it could mean anything from making a great profit but it goes of course to mean you making $0 or even a loss, you know? So whenever someone says I'm making six figures or seven figures, like I feel like the question should be seven figure profit rather than, you know, revenue because revenue can mean anything. So it actually has never crossed my mind to make seven figures because I feel like making seven figures to me sounds so stressful. You know, average would mean I need to have a really big team. So so many parties on the weekends it would also mean that I couldn't really relax at all on a weekend, you know, being responsible for so many people, for team members for the clients. For me, it's not really worth it at the moment, you know, to aim for that goal because at the moment I'm super happy with my work life balance, you know, I earn enough money to you know, get the things we need. And I like and also have so much flexible time with the kids, you know, so for me that's that's really all I ever want, you know, that might change once the kids are, you know, grown up and I have more time on my hands. You know, I might have other you know, money goals or whatever, but at the moment. Yeah, it doesn't really seven figures like what does it even mean? You know, um, and what else was gonna say? Yeah, I think that's actually yeah, that's actually what I wanted to say. Yeah, my number one priority is family and having enough cash flow to support myself in my dreams and my goals.

Laetitia Andrac 

I love that and I love how now you're like, using the right wording saying that revenue is nothing like profits. And yes, I love it. So what is your abundant vision for your business? If you're not striving for everyone saying that you should be a seven figure or multiple six figure and all of that, like what is your vision for your business?

Cathleen Daenzer 

Okay, my vision is making people aware that you can have super fun waste free parties. You You know, it's super fun and you don't need all the glitter, all the tattoos, all this weapons, the stickers and the prices, the lolly bags, you don't need all that you can have fun without creating so much rubbish for our environment, you know, so I just want to make people more aware of that you can run things differently and it doesn't have to be this way just because it has always been this way. You know, there are other ways and it's actually way more fun because you have you know you can go to bed and have a good feeling. So you know you didn't produce so much rubbish, you know, and my abundant vision is also to plant 1000s of trees. You know, at the moment I'm donating for the trees. But my goal really is to plant the trees myself and with the community maybe schools or anyone really, you know, but I would like to see those trees are planted and I can see they are growing and they are there. That's super important to me to give back to the environment and maybe expand over time like having a bigger team, you know, maybe expand over different cities to make Yeah, just to have like a movement, you know, like equal party movement. And what else was gonna say? Oh, yeah, I want to continue to have lots of freedom and flexibility. That is for me, number one. Because I know what it's like to work every hour of the day because I did that in the beginning when I had no system. So thank you for being there for me. It was horror, to be honest, and I never want to be in that position. Again, like I don't care if I get you know, $3,000 a week. More whatsoever. I just want to have my moments where I can have myself care when I go to the gym and I just feel happy within myself and it's definitely not coming from working every single hour of the day. And I also my vision is to not work on the weekends anymore. That's a moment. Yeah, not reality. But I keep saying oh my god in six months time, you have to sorted it's just extremely hard to get a great team. You know, you can yes, you can hire so many people who want to do parties, but it's super hard to find the right people. And I'd rather have a small team then have a big team and do all these parties but get bad reviews, you know, have a headache thinking of, you know, people canceling me last minute You know, I just need super reliable core team members. And that's really all I need. Because yeah, you know you know how it's been I had a few bad runs with some people and I learned a lot. Thank you lotsa for that. Contracts and everything. So yeah. And my goal would probably be making $150,000 in profits. I think I would have a very lovely and comfortable life and also make enough money to for emergencies, you know, and yeah, I always want to have enough time for self care and holiday goals. That's really my vision.

Laetitia Andrac 

You get in so much learning along the way, right? It's learning to become a business owner and now you're striving business owner, you're running a beautiful profitable business and impacting positively. So tell us what is your business?

Cathleen Daenzer   

Yeah, so I run eco friendly kids parties. So that basically means that we run waste free parties. So because usually the entertainer comes and first of all plays competitive games, which leaves kids so upset and disturbed. And then they throw around the stickers, the slap bands. They have all these little plastic toys you know, that are super unusable and wasteful and unnecessary. And yeah, so basically, we don't give out prizes because we don't have winners. We don't have losers. We don't do competition, because I want the kids to know it's a much better experience to work together and bond and have a fun time together rather than working against each other you know, and what else do we do so we plan trees, five trees for each party that we do and we make our bubble solutions ourselves. We basically we come to a party and don't produce a single piece of waste. You know we don't have any glitter because glitter even though it looks so pretty. It is just so bad for our environment. We don't do glitter tattoos, no prizes, as I was saying. And yeah, no competition and that's really the core of our party philosophy. And there is really nothing out there like this yet. So it's kind of brand new, and people receive it super well and they actually see how much fun it is. And the kids actually never asked me to have prizes or you know, to be eliminated whatsoever because it's you know, it's so fun to to have the party we you know the party we run so yeah, that's basically my business.

Laetitia Andrac    

I love it. Thank you, Cat. It's a beautiful business. So we'll put all the information for you to go and if you're based in Sydney because it's only in Sydney for now, but we are working on expanding it. We can book a beautiful party. You have to work with Laetitia you have been a figure since before even started my business. Like you've been just a blessing seriously. So I've done intensives with you. I came to your retreat. And you gave me so much power, power, encouragement and knowledge and you mean the bots and you know all these contracts and things that weren't in place for me and you're like What do you don't have that oh my god girlfriend you know, you got to work that out. So because of your really I am where I am and I don't maybe I wouldn't do that anymore if I didn't have you because I remember coming to you saying I had all these parties. I have all these team members. And on a Monday I paid off so I paid everyone there is barely anything left for me even though I work 40 hours or more during the week and two hours on the weekends. And how is this possible? That I have nothing left for myself? And you just changed it all around just from your amazing ideas to questioning my behavior the ways I am and it was just wonderful, wonderful, wonderful experience. So you have played a massive part in my success story.

So let's dive into this. Interview. The first question for you is what is success for you, Jo?

Joanne Makas 

Success for me is about alignment of the body, the mind the heart and the spirit. And when they're all working harmoniously together then I feel that I'm living in success.

Laetitia Andrac 

I love it. And it's so you right this is so you. And so this campaign is called the seven figure flipped, what does it mean for you?

Joanne Makas 

The seven figure flipped

Laetitia Andrac 

Yes.

Joanne Makas  

I'm not. Well, it's interesting because I've never subcribed to the seven figure. I've never been enticed by it. If anything, it actually scares me. And I think oh, that's just not me, energetically, and because it's all about energy alignment for me and being connected to our creative flow and our intuition. The that just energetically doesn't sit with my my values.

Laetitia Andrac 

I love it. Thank you for sharing that. Because I think many are falling for it. So it's beautiful to see that you haven't fall for it and it's not aligned. Wonderful. So what is now your abundant vision for your business? What is abundance for you and your business?

Joanne Makas 

I think it just goes back to my my values. Which are intimacy and community. And what's really coming up strongly for me at the moment is an ethics of care. How are we caring for the world? How are we caring for our clients? How are we caring for ourselves? So, my abundant vision is to really bringing that ethics of care into the essence of my business.

Laetitia Andrac 

The ethic of care. That is so beautiful. So what is your business Jo?

Joanne Makas 

Well, firstly, I am an artist and I do many things. I'm a multi passionate woman. So I have many aspects to myself. And as an artist, I am very creative. And so in that i My business is about supporting creative women to really expand and trust their creativity further to go deeply into it. And and also demystify what creativity is because many people think that creativity are only for artists or designers, but that really is about style. And this isn't about style. This is about trusting your intuition, so that when you're creating a program or creating some new business, the creativity flows, that thinking trusting your intuition. So I'm a feminine embodiment coach and facilitator so I use those that way. That's one way that I work with women. And the other way is also through sound healing, which is a huge part of my business as well. And it's all about clearing the energy and bringing in a really lovely positive outlook to how we perform in the suffering of the challenges that we're faced with all the time, whether it's in business or life.

Laetitia Andrac 

And your work is magnificent. We'll put all the details but I highly encourage any of you are thriving to awaken their creativity to connect with Joe. So Jo, anything else you'd like to add for anyone with, you know, reading about the seven figure flips, reading about another way to define abundance for our life and business. I think the only thing that I would love to share is just trust your intuition. If it doesn't feel right, and everyone else around you is doing it, then have the courage to stay with that feeling of intuition that your body wisdom is is is sending to you. So that's really all for me.
